2 behaviors you should avoid in Myanmar


1 - Do not pay "thank you money" to local people .
      Let's imagine, If your car was immediately and accidentally stopped in the middle of the road. So shortly after this, there will be crowed with local people and they will start try to help you to move the car.

      After moving, they probably even standing near of your car. Do not think that they want money from you, they are standing beside you because they want to know if you are having other problems.
      In this condition, do not try to pay money to them. They will be angry with you.
      If in otherwise condition, they will request first how much money you need to pay for moving this car. 90% of Myanmar people do not want money from foreign visitors.
      They are always happy to help you. They got pleasure when your problem was solved and you smile to them. They are ready to help you with smile.

2 - Do not introduce with hand shake to ladies
      Touching any part of Myanmar ladies is prohibited by society rules for men. Do not try to introduce them with any hand shake or hug, please use smile and laugh instead. It is the safe and good way to start.

Myanmar Trishaw

Myanmar Trishaw was invented by Sayar Nyo, a car repairer from Nyaung Bin Market, Mandalay in 1938.  The trishaw is made of three wheels – a combination of a bicycle and sidecar which has two back to back seats for two passengers on the left side of the driver.
